ABOUT SHOSHANNA KATZMAN
You can create a longer, healthier, enjoyable, and more productive life ![]() Currently, she is president-elect of the National Qigong Association (NQA). She also serves on the Executive Board, as Ambassador and chair of the Healing Wave Task Force created to bring qigong to the public in the United States and abroad. Katzman is a nationally licensed acupuncturist with a Master in Science in the field. In 1998, then Governor Christine Todd Whitman, appointed her to the New Jersey State Acupuncture Examining Board, where she became Secretary in 1999. Through her membership and involvement with professional organizations including the American Association of Oriental Medicine and the Federal Acupuncture Oriental Medicine Regulatory Agency, Katzman keeps abreast of 'evolving' trends in the field of complementary and alternative medicine. As an adjunct professor in the Health and Fitness Department at Brookdale College, she has taught Qigong to a wide range of students, including day-long workshops on qigong for high school audiences and 'Fitness after Fifty' classes to hundreds of seniors. Katzman is organizer and co-founder of an Annual Wellness conference which has drawn thousands of people and renowned speakers, such as Richard Simmons, Coretta Scott King, Dr. Christiane Northrup, and Dr. Caroline Myss. As an inspirational speaker, she lectures at a host of public forums including Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores. She is also Co-author of Feeling Light-The Holistic Solution to Permanent Weight Loss and Wellness (Avon, 1997). A devoted wife and mother of three, she lives with her family at the Jersey Shore. |
